The Auburn Fire Department has been credited with saving a half dozen ducklings after they were discovered in a storm sewer drain in the city.
The call came in around 5 p.m. on Market Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters found six ducklings with no sign of mom nearby.
Firefighter Justin Wood was able to retrieve them from the drain safely and the rest of the crew released them near the Owasco River.
Photos from the scene were shared by AFD.
