Steven Page, formerly of the Barenaked Ladies, is set to be the inaugural performer on the newly christened Suburban Park Stage at the 2023 Great New York State Fair. The concert is scheduled for 2 p.m. on opening day, Wednesday, August 23. Page, who has been touring globally as a solo artist, as part of the Steven Page Trio, and with full orchestras, is known for his songwriting and vocal talents.
Throughout his solo career, Page has produced five albums, including his most recent release, “Excelsior”, in 2022. He is currently working on an album with The Trans-Canada Highwaymen, which is anticipated to debut later this year. Page was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2018.
The 2023 Chevrolet Music Series will feature daily performances at two locations: the newly renamed Suburban Park Stage, located on the western end of the Fairgrounds beyond the Midway, and Chevy Court, which is closer to the Fair’s Main Entrance. The cost of all concerts in the series is included with admission to The Fair.
