The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Bath resident following a grand jury indictment on sex abuse charges.
Darren Ollis, 52, of Bath was indicted by a grand jury for forcible touching and strangulation, both of which are felony charges.
He was also indicted on one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Ollis was charged after an incident where he forcibly touched the intimate parts of a person under 17 and strangled them.
Additional details were not released. However, he was taken into custody and arraigned on the charges without incident.
Sheriff Allard thanked staff of the Steuben County Children’s Advocacy Center for their help in the investigation.
