Redevelopment planned for historic Watkins Glen property

Jeff Klossner, the owner of Hop Notch Brewing in Montour Falls, has purchased a decades-old trailer park on Route 14 near Watkins Glen with plans to revitalize the area.

Klossner and his sister intend to sell off the trailers and cabins, which are in poor condition, before redeveloping the space to provide a welcoming first impression for those entering Watkins Glen.

He recently spoke to WETM-TV about the move.

While no specific plans have been finalized, Klossner anticipates the project may take several years to complete.

The trailer park, established around 1944 by Fred and Arminda Wiltse, has a rich history, having been rented out to tourists during the summer and by the month in the winter.
