The New York Yankees (18-16) offense came alive late as they bounced back with a 3-2 victory over Tampa Bay Rays (27-7) at Tropicana Field on Saturday night.

New York fell behind 2-0 in the first inning but plated three runs in the eighth to take the lead and never looked back.

DJ LeMahieu put the Yankees on the board with an RBI double, and Harrison Bader delivered a go-head two-out, two-run single.

Domingo Germán tossed five innings of two-run ball while walking two and striking out five.

Wandy Peralta, Ron Marinaccio, Clay Holmes, and Ian Hamilton all had scoreless appearances. Hamilton recorded his first big-league save.

The Yankees will try to win the series on Sunday with Gerrit Cole on the hill. The first pitch is set for 1:40 p.m.
