The New York Yankees (17-15) secured a series victory with a 4-3 come-from-behind walk-off victory over the Cleveland Guardians (14-17) in 10 innings on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.
With one out and runners on second and third, Jose Trevino came off the bench to pinch-hit for Kyle Higashioka and delivered a walk-off single.
This came after Clay Holmes gave up a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the ninth, and Willie Calhoun tied the game in the bottom of the frame with an RBI single.
Calhoun also homered earlier in the game for the second straight night while Jake Bauers drilled his first home run as a Yankee.
Clarke Schmidt allowed a pair of unearned runs over 4 1/3 innings. Ian Hamilton, Jimmy Cordero, Ron Marinaccio, and Albert Abreu had scoreless appearances in relief.
The Yankees will get the day off Thursday before they begin a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night at Tropicana Field.
