The Ithaca Farmers Market has kicked off its outdoor market season at Steamboat Landing, following a winter of indoor operations. With the arrival of May, the market has expanded its hours to include Sundays at Steamboat Landing and Wednesdays on Ithaca’s East Hill.
The Sunday market at Steamboat Landing offers a more relaxed atmosphere compared to Saturdays. It operates from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from May through October and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in November. The open-air market on Pine Tree Road provides fresh produce, locally-sourced meats, baked goods, and a limited assortment of prepared food. This year, the Wednesday market hours have been adjusted to 3-6 p.m., running from May through October.
To celebrate its 50th season, the Ithaca Farmers Market will host a special ribbon-cutting event this Saturday from 10-11 a.m.
Visitors can find the Ithaca Farmers Market at Steamboat Landing, located at 545 Third Street, on weekends, and beside Walgreens at 330 Pine Tree Road on Wednesdays.
