Police: Pickup truck collides with two homes in Ithaca

One person was injured and two city homes damaged after a pickup truck crashed into them overnight.

IPD said in a media update early-Monday that around 12:15 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Farm Street for a vehicle into a house.

Once officers arrived on-scene they found a full-sized Ford pickup truck that had crashed into a house.

The driver of that vehicle was still inside.

Investigation revealed that the truck had actually struck two houses, causing significant damage to one. The driver of the truck was removed from the vehicle and sent to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

First responders worked at the scene to stabilize the home and patient.

An investigation into the driver’s sobriety is underway and charges are pending, police said.

Until lab results are returned, the driver’s identity is being withheld, police added.
