Bills sign veteran RB Latavius Murray

The Buffalo Bills added a running back to the roster on Monday, signing veteran Latavius Murray to a one-year contract, the team announced.

Murray visited Buffalo in mid-April, but general manager Brandon Beane waited to sign him until the 2023 NFL Draft was over.

The 33-year-old played in 13 games in 2022 for the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints. He rushed for 703 yards and five touchdowns on 160 carries with the Broncos, averaging 4.4 yards per attempt.

Murray, the former sixth-round pick by the now Las Vegas Raiders, has generated 6,252 yards and 55 TDs in nine NFL seasons (missed his rookie campaign on injured reserve).

Murray joins James Cook and free-agent Damien Harris in the Bills backfield. Buffalo also brought back pass-catching back Nyheim Hines.
