Seneca Falls man sentenced to prison after standoff with police

A Seneca Falls man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon.

Florencio Alicea was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison, according to the Finger Lakes Times. The 38-year-old faced an array of charges for a May 2022 incident where he smashed an electrical meter with a hammer and ran into a local home.

It took nearly two hours to get Alicea into custody.

During the incident he apparently pointed a butane torch at officers.
