The Ithaca Police Department reports the arrest of a city resident after an assault investigation overnight.
Thomas Henry, 20, of Ithaca was charged with first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Both charges are serious felony counts.
It all stemmed from a stabbing that happened in the 600 block of Spencer Road around midnight.
Additional information about the stabbing was not released. Henry was held on $25,000 cash bail at the Tompkins County Jail following his arrest.
The investigation remains active and anyone with information about it should contact IPD.
