Troopers: Prattsburgh man accused of drugged driving after car goes off the road

On April 23 a Prattsburgh man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and operating a vehicle without a valid license.

Joseph R. Bennett Jr., 36, was found by the troopers from Bath after responding to a report of a vehicle off the roadway on Muck Road in the town of Prattsburgh.


Upon arrival, the troopers discovered the vehicle with significant damage. Further investigation revealed that Bennett was impaired at the time of the incident. He was subsequently arrested and charged with DWAI drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Bennett was taken to Bath for processing and issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Prattsburgh Town Court on May 10, 2023, at 5:30 p.m.
