Clifton Bibbins, a 39-year-old man from Ithaca, has been sentenced to potentially spend the rest of his life in prison following a violent home invasion in October 2021.

Bibbins received a sentence of 20 years to life for burglary and 16 years to life for attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

The Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office reported that Bibbins was found guilty of assault after pistol-whipping the victim during the home invasion and subsequently shooting them in the foot.
