Together Women Rise, a community of women and allies dedicated to promoting global gender equality, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with events across its 350 chapters nationwide. Co-founder Barbara Collins expressed her honor in hosting one of the celebrations in Seneca Falls, a place with a special significance.
The anniversary events featured speakers from the organization and highlighted various projects funded by Together Women Rise, addressing the diverse needs and challenges faced by women and girls. Each month, the organization focuses on a grantee working in countries where women and girls have limited opportunities to thrive.
By hosting the 20th-anniversary celebration in Seneca Falls, attendees were able to learn about women’s history while looking forward to a future of continued progress. Collins expressed her hope that the achievements of women who have come before will inspire and motivate the community to carry their legacy forward.
