First responders quick action is credited with saving a home on Spruce Lane from further fire damage in the town of Seneca Falls early-Tuesday.
Around 4 a.m. Seneca County 911 dispatched firefighters and police to a house with smoke inside on Spruce Lane.
While crews were en route, they were advised that the occupant had safely gotten out of the home. There were determined to be a fire in the chimney area.
Firefighters from Seneca Falls, Waterloo, and Fayette worked quickly at the scene ensuring that it did not spread.
Crews were back in service by approximately 6 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
