Gleyber Torres’ walk-off sacrifice fly lifts Yankees to bounce-back win over Angels

The New York Yankees (11-7) bounced back with a 3-2 extra-inning victory over the Los Angeles Angels (9-9) on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.

After Ian Hamilton tossed a scoreless top of the tenth inning, Gleyber Torres delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly.

Aaron Judge had himself a night on the offensive and defensive side. He crushed a two-run home run in the first inning, his sixth of the season, after robbing Shohei Ohtani of a homer. Later in the game, Judge made a diving catch in the gap to keep the game tied.

Michael King tossed 2 1/3 shutout innings. Wandy Peralta gave up a game-tying RBI single. Clay Holmes fired a scoreless frame.

The Yankees will try to win the series on Thursday with Nestor Cortes on the hill. The first pitch is slated for 4:05 p.m.
