The 72nd National Day of Prayer will be Thursday, May 4, 2023.
Open to the public, local organizers have planned a prayer service from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Calvary Chapel of Seneca Falls located at 2291 Route 89, Seneca Falls.
This year’s theme is “Pray Fervently in Righteousness and Avail Much”.
“Come, united in love, with a heart to exalt the Lord in worship and prayer,” explains Judy Mayne, event organizer. The evening will have a relaxed format of singing led by a worship team and a time of open, Spirit-led prayer by clergy and lay persons.
“Regardless of the challenges that we face, we know that as God’s people pray, mountains are moved, and the darkness attempting to overtake our country is being pushed back. While the enemy trembles, we do not. We are stirred up, as we stand up in faith and lift up bold prayers, not in a spirit of fear and timidity, but Exalting the Lord in victory that God has already provided”, says Kathy Branzell, President of the National Day of Prayer Task Force (NDP).
