Auburn transfer Chance Westry commits to Syracuse

Former Auburn guard Chance Westry has committed to the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball program, the Athletics Department announced Tuesday.

Westry is the second recruit committed to play for incoming head coach Adrian Autry.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound guard picked Syracuse over a final list of schools that included Creighton, St. John’s, Seton Hall, and Penn State, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.

In 11 games with Auburn last season, Westry averaged 2.5 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per contest. His season was cut short due to injury.
