Authorities are looking into a deadly collision on the New York State Thruway in Genesee County that involved two passenger cars and a flatbed tractor-trailer.
State troopers were dispatched to the westbound lanes of the Thruway, situated just east of the Pembroke rest stop, at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. One fatality was reported at the crash site, while no other injuries have been recorded.
As the police investigation continues, the westbound lanes remain closed. Motorists have been rerouted at Exit 48 in Batavia as crews attend to the accident scene.
