CONCRETE JUNGLE: New York Groove, Big Injury Updates, Gauging Early Season MiLB Baseball (podcast)

The second full week of the MLB season has been a good one for New York teams. Paul Russo and Kyle Evans dive in first with the Mets as they took the series against the Padres. They look at Max Scherzer rebounding Monday, Pete Alonso finding his power stroke, and how David Robertson is the replacement for Edwin Diaz. Paul and Kyle look at some recent comments made by Diaz regarding his knee injury and what it means for the Mets. They look ahead to the first leg of the first west coast swing of the season against the A’s.

The Yankees went into Cleveland and got another series win on the season. Paul and Kyle talk about Gerrit Cole once again leading the way, Oswaldo Cabrera showing up in a big way, and Franchy Cordero’s historic team start for a new player. They look at some key injury updates and preview the four-game series back in The Bronx against the Twins.

Wrapping up the podcast, Paul and Kyle look at the contrasting starts for Rochester and Syracuse. They discuss how despite both being young teams, experience does matter. The guys also look at the series so far for the teams which they have both split so far.
