The INHS Board of Directors has announced, with a blend of sadness and appreciation, the departure of Executive Director Johanna Anderson, who will be leaving her position on June 30, 2023. Anderson has accepted a new role as the president of Tompkins Community Bank’s Central New York (CNY) market.
Johanna Anderson has been instrumental in the growth and accomplishments of the regional affordable housing non-profit organization since joining in 2018. Under her leadership, INHS has forged new strategic partnerships, extended its services across the service area, and improved operations and organizational processes, among other achievements.
Reflecting on her time at INHS, Anderson stated that the past five years have been the most fulfilling of her career. She expressed her admiration for her colleagues and emphasized her continued support for INHS and affordable housing initiatives. Anderson considers her time with INHS to be the pinnacle of her professional career, as she had the opportunity to work with an exceptional team at both board and staff levels.
Jeremy Thomas, President of the Board of Directors, acknowledged Anderson’s significant contributions and unwavering commitment to INHS and its mission during her tenure as Executive Director. He expressed gratitude for her work and confidence that she would make a positive impact in her new position at Tompkins Community Bank. Thomas also assured that the INHS leadership and staff would ensure a seamless transition and ongoing organizational success as the Board conducts a nationwide search for a suitable replacement.
The Board of Directors plans to announce the search committee and the process for identifying a successor shortly.
