Three jailed after robberies at gas station, laundromat in Williamson

State police arrested three Wayne County residents following a felony robbery investigation.


According to troopers, Layne Dagata, 38, of Sodus; William Gahr, 49, of Williamson; and Carol Shannon, 55, of Williamson were all arrested on felony charges.

Dagata and Gahr were charged with two counts of first- and second-degree robbery.

Shannon was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery.

It’s alleged that Dagata and Gahr forcibly stole $200 from a victim while at the Speedway located at 3584 State Route 21 in the town of Marion, after threatening them with a weapon.

They are also accused of forcibly stealing $100 from a victim at The Wash House in Williamson.

Shannon is accused of assisting them in the robberies.

Dagata was committed to the Wayne County Jail on $2,000 cash bail. Gahr and Shannon were remanded to the Wayne County Jail without bail.
