State police are investigating a fatal accident that happened in the town of Verona on April 8.
In an update on Monday, state police say they were called to the area of Beacan Light Road near Patrick Road.
An SUV, operated by a 24-year-old Cold Brook, New York resident was traveling north at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a row of trees.
The 24-year-old, identified as Sabrina Stafford, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
State police were assisted by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and Verona Fire Department.
