State police arrested a Clifton Springs man on felony sex assault charges after an investigation in Jefferson County.
According to a news release, Timothy Youngs Jr., 29, was charged with one count of predatory sexual assault against a child; one count of criminal sex act; and one count of sex abuse. The charges are Class A, B, and D felonies respectively.
The arrest stems from a two-and-a-half year investigation conducted with the help of the Jefferson County Child Protective Services, Jefferson County Child Advocacy Center, Erie County Child Advocacy Center, and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office into Youngs having sexual conduct with three females under the age of 13 on multiple occasions.
The victims in this case are receiving services from the Child Advocacy Center.
Youngs was remanded to the Jefferson County Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in the city of Watertown Court on April 10, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.
