The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Bath man following an assault investigation.
Thomas Stark, 24, is accused of striking and choking a person with the intent to cause injury. It’s also alleged that he discharged a rifle round inside a home, in close proximity to another person.
Investigators executed a search warrant and found five rifles and shotguns. He was charged with assault, criminal mischief, and strangulation- all as felonies, as well as five counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
He was remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail after the incident.
Several law enforcement agencies assisted with the investigation.
