Jose Trevino smacked his first home run of the season, a two-run shot.
Gerrit Cole picked up where he left off on Opening Day, tossing 6 1/3 dominant innings while allowing just one run on three hits and striking out eight.
Jonathan Loáisiga surrendered a run in relief. Clay Holmes recorded the final three outs while striking out the side.
The Yankees will get the day off Thursday because of a rainout and will open a three-game series with the Orioles in Baltimore on Friday. The first pitch is slated for 3:05 p.m.
