The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Williamson man following an investigation into a property damage accident that happened on April 2 around 10 p.m.
Deputies arrested Joseph Burkhart, 38, of Williamson for moving from lane unsafely, DWI, aggravated DWI, and other traffic citations following the property damage accident.
Burkhart is accused of operating his vehicle eastbound on Jersey Road, before losing control and traveling off the road. He collided with a utility pole, and after being asked to participate in field sobriety tests- he failed.
He was found to have a BAC of 0.19%.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
