Police arrested a Canandaigua resident following an investigation into a level three sex offender who failed to update his address.
Welsey Smith Jr., 28, was charged with failure to verify address.
It’s alleged that Smith, who’s a level three sex offender, moved from an address in Rochester to a location in Canandaigua.
He then failed to update his address.
Smith was processed and will answer the charge at a later date.
