After more than a decade of being left unfinished, an abandoned condominium project in the Village of Sodus Point, New York is finally seeing some action.
The new owner, Bruce Carey, has decided to tear down the structures and build a luxury RV park instead, with full hookups and parking for each of its 48 sites. Onsite amenities will include a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, bathhouse, outdoor gaming courts, laundry facilities, and a large clubhouse with meeting rooms.
According to Carey, who recently spoke with the Times of Wayne County, restoring and preserving the nearly 180-degree view of Sodus Bay was his guiding light for the project. He hopes that the new resort will be a source of pride for both his family and local residents.
While there is currently no opening date for the park, Carey says he’s taking his time to ensure that the entire project is a success. As for costs, he says they will be commensurate with what the resort provides, and updates on the project will be available on the website.
