A routine patrol by Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies on March 29 resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old woman from Ithaca.
Jessica L. Shevalier was stopped on Five Mile Drive after a vehicle mounted LPR indicated that her 2003 Toyota Avalon was operating with a suspended registration and no active insurance.
During the traffic stop, deputies discovered a small baggie of cocaine, which led to Shevalier’s arrest. The charges against her include criminal possession of a controlled substance, classified as a Class A misdemeanor, operating with suspended registration, and several other vehicle and traffic law infractions.
After her arrest, Shevalier was released on appearance tickets, pending a court hearing.
