Police arrested two people after an officer was attacked in the city of Canandaigua.
According to a news release, Jonathan Clark, 33, of Newark, and Lindsay Craft, 40, of Canandaigua were charged with a felony count of assault.
The incident began with police being called to the area of Perry Place after a suspicious condition report.
When police arrived, Clark approached the officers and punched one in the face while still in the cruiser. Craft then attempted to do the same as the officer exited the vehicle.
Craft was released on an appearance ticket. However, Clark was held on an outstanding parole violation.
Details about the officers condition was not released.
