The Buffalo Sabres announced Thursday that 21-year-old top goalie prospect Devon Levi will make his NHL debut on Friday against the New York Rangers at KeyBank Center.
Levi signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Buffalo earlier this month after finishing his second season at Northeastern University. He posted a 38-22-6 record, a 1.90 goals-against average, and a .942 save percentage over two seasons with the school.
The Sabres (35-31-7, 77 points) are five points back of the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second wild card spot with nine games remaining in the regular season.
