A local man will spend more than a decade in prison after a Seneca County Court case came to a conclusion this week.

Prosecutors say Cassidy Ward committed numerous crimes over a six-month period last year. Now he has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison as a persistent felony offender by Seneca County Court Judge Barry Porsch.

Ward pleaded guilty to a felony charge of intimidating a victim/witness, which has a normal sentence of 1.5-4 years in prison.

However, due to his lengthy criminal history and other recent charges he was sentenced as a persistent felon.
