At least one person will spend time behind bars after a lengthy investigation and court case involving a ‘marijuana sticker shop’.
Six people faced charges after 110 pounds of marijuana and $250,000 in cash from Fat Daddy’s smoke shops was seized.
Corey Keller of Elmira pleaded guilty to felony charges of attempted grand larceny, conspiracy, and attempted criminal possession of a weapon in Yates County Court.
He’ll have to pay back tens-of-thousands of dollars, but will be sentenced in June.
Fat Daddy’s shops were operating in Penn Yan, Watkins Glen, Elmira, and Penfield. Kelly Bush, Mark Bush, Betty Jablonski, Christopher Golden Jr., and Jamie Walker were also arrested, and the charges against them included enterprise corruption, grand larceny, conspiracy, tax fraud, criminal possession of cannabis, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The Finger Lakes Times reported that Mark Bush previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy and attempted criminal possession of a weapon, and his sentencing is scheduled for May 16. Casella withdrew prosecution of Jablonski based on the plea of Mark Bush, her co-defendant. The cases against Golden and Walker are pending.
