Opening Day for the Syracuse Mets is just two days away, and the team has announced its roster, which includes four of the New York Mets’ top 10 prospects.
Catcher Francisco Álvarez leads a talented group of prospects on Syracuse’s roster. The 21-year-old is the top-ranked player in the Mets’ organization and the third-ranked prospect in all of baseball, according to MLB Pipeline.
Infielders Brett Baty (No. 2 prospect), Ronny Mauricio (No. 6 prospect), and Mark Vientos (No. 8 prospect) will also start the season in Syracuse.
