The Geneva City School District announced on Wednesday the appointment of Heather Eysaman as the new principal of North Street School, effective April 24. Eysaman previously served as the assistant principal of North Street School from 2017 to 2019, and is currently the principal of Rochester Academy Charter School.
Eysaman brings nearly 20 years of experience in education to her new role, including 13 years of teaching and seven years in administration. During her time in Geneva, she has held a variety of positions, including dean of students, instructional coach, technology mentor, program coordinator, interim assistant principal, and summer school principal before being appointed as assistant principal of North Street.

Superintendent Bo Wright expressed his excitement over Eysaman’s return to the district, stating, “Although I have not yet had the pleasure of working with her, I know she was an asset to this district during her previous years here, and I am certain she is the right choice to lead North Street School.”
Eysaman holds a master’s degree in teaching and curriculum from the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Richmond in Virginia. She is also certified as a school building leader and is currently pursuing her EdD at the University of Rochester with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive curriculum.
In a statement, Eysaman expressed her enthusiasm for returning to North Street School, saying, “I have always considered it home and look forward to spending many years in service to the students, staff, and families of the Geneva City School District. I am grateful for the opportunity to work once again in such an amazing community.”
The appointment of Heather Eysaman as principal of North Street School is a positive development for the Geneva City School District, and her wealth of experience and expertise in education will undoubtedly benefit the students, staff, and families of the school.
