The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team received some good news Wednesday morning.
According to a report from Donna Ditota of Syracuse.com, forward Benny Williams will be returning to Syracuse for the 2023-24 season.
Williams, who was recruited by Adrian Autry in 2021, lost his starting job last season due to inconsistency but picked his game up in the final few games. In three of the last four contests, Williams averaged 17.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 55.5% from the floor and 75% from beyond the arc.
The 6-foot-9 Williams will become a key piece for the Orange next season.
