State Troopers and Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three juveniles after they were observed intentionally crashing two stolen Kia Souls into each other on State Route 96 in the town of Manchester.
The incident took place at around 11:31 a.m. on Tuesday when a trooper noticed two Kia Souls striking into each other. The trooper tried to make a traffic stop by activating his emergency lights and siren, but the operators of both vehicles failed to stop. After some time, one of the vehicles became disabled, while the other exited the roadway and also became disabled.
All suspects from both vehicles fled on foot but were later apprehended by the authorities.
State Police charged the juveniles with second- and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felony charges. Additionally, one of the three juveniles was also charged with obstruction.
All three juveniles were given appearance tickets returnable to the Ontario County Family Court at a later date.
The incident remains under investigation.
