Friends, family, and community will gather to remember Geneva Varsity Football Coach Larry Guererri who passed away unexpectedly last week.
Calling hours will happen Thursday at Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home from 1-4 p.m.
A memorial service will follow. A balloon release ceremony will take place at Lowman Field.

Lawrence ‘Larry’ C. Guererri, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (March 23, 2023), at Geneva General Hospital.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday (March 30), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. A balloon release ceremony will follow at Lowman Field, at Geneva High School.

Larry was born on June 17, 1971, in Geneva and was a son of Patricia (Dunham) Guererri and the late Frank Guererri. He graduated from DeSales High School, Class of 1989. Larry worked as an outside salesman at 84 Lumber in Geneva for 25 years and was very well-known among his clients. He was a man of his community. Larry had a passion for coaching, starting as DeSales High School football coach, then owned and coached the Five Lakes Hawks football team and was currently the head coach for the Geneva Panthers football team. Larry was the past president for the Geneva Little League, softball, Junior Panthers Football, and oversaw basketball for the Boys & Girls Club. Not only was he a committed and loving family man, he loved all children in the surrounding communities and would jump at the opportunity to coach any child in need, even if it was for the opposing team. Larry was a “Jack of all trades” and enjoyed starting renovations at his home.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Brenda Guererri of Geneva; mother, Patricia Guererri of Geneva; children, Robert (Elena) Guererri of Fort Campbell, TN, Janelle Guererri of Geneva, McKala Guererri of Geneva, Konnor Guererri of Geneva and Quadere Lawson of Geneva; step-children, Jeffrey Salone of Geneva, Kaylee Salone of Geneva, Dominick Salone of Clifton Springs, Maddison Salone of Sarasota, Fla. and Joseph Salone of Geneva; siblings, Scott (Ann) Guererri of Penn Yan, Rosemary Guererri of Geneva, Robert (Wendy) Burri of Tallahassee, Fla., Lisa (Chris) Orlando of Phelps and Jeff (Deb) Burri of Clifton Springs; grandchildren, Khylyrics, Carmine, Ariyanna, Kenzo, Yvonne, Josephine and Luca; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of close friends.
