A Horseheads man is facing several charges after being arrested in connection with two larcenies that occurred at the Aldi and Wal-Mart in the Town of Erwin on March 22.
Jeremiah A. Perez, age 44, was charged with two counts of Petit Larceny.
During the arrest, police discovered that Perez was also in possession of a controlled substance. As a result, he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
After being issued appearance tickets returnable to the Erwin Town Court on April 5, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., he was turned over to the Elmira Police Department for an active warrant.
The arrest was made by troopers from SP Painted Post, who responded to the reports of the larcenies. The case is ongoing and further information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
