Cornell PD investigate burglary, ask for public’s help identifying suspect

The Cornell University Police Department (CUPD) has reported a case of burglary at Clark Hall, which took place on Tuesday morning. According to CUPD, an unidentified male suspect stole power tools and a 55-inch television from the academic building before driving away from the Cornell campus.


The police received a report of the incident at about 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, approximately four hours after the burglary occurred at around 4:45 a.m. The suspect, described as a male about six feet tall, was seen wearing a hooded jacket.

CUPD revealed in a crime alert that the suspect loaded the stolen property into a grey sedan parked on Sciences Dr. before leaving the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was last seen traveling south on College Ave. in the City of Ithaca at approximately 4:50 a.m.

CUPD is urging anyone with information related to the crime to contact them at 607-255-1111. No further details regarding the incident have been disclosed at this time.
