Hegedorn’s Market, a family-owned grocery store located on Ridge Road in Webster, is set to close its doors in June.
Originally it was a dairy farm opened in 1936 by Bruce Hegedorn’s father. Then, Hegedorn’s Market transformed into a 2,000 square food market in 1953 under the leadership of Bruce and Mary Hegedorn. The store stands at 45,000 square feet and has been a key staple in the community for generations.
The store also represents one of the only non-chain grocery stores in the Greater Rochester Area.
An exact closing date has not yet been announced. However, it’s expected the store will cease operation in late-June or early-July.
