The Waterloo Tigers closed out an unbelievable season on Sunday afternoon, winning the New York State Class B Federation Championship, 68-35, over the Preston Panthers at Shenendehowa High School.
Waterloo opened the game on a 12-0 run and led 18-2 after the first eight minutes. Preston made a little push in the second quarter, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers outscored the Panthers 39-21 in the second half to secure another victory.
Natalie Disanto scored a game-high 24 points to lead Waterloo. Morgan Caraballo netted 16 points, while Jazzmyn Lewis added eight.
Waterloo finished the season with a 28-1 record.
