Deputies say alcohol and speed appear to have played a role in a serious accident that happened Saturday afternoon in the town of Walworth.

According to a news release from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Benjamin Wall, 27, of Webster lost control of his vehicle while on Atlantic Avenue, proceeded off the road, down an embankment, and rolled several times.

The vehicle eventually landed on all four tires, but Wall had to be transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Western Wayne Ambulance.

Charges are pending lab results and the investigation remains active, deputies added.

New York State Police, Western Wayne Ambulance, and West Walworth Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
