Sabres edge Devils to snap four-game skid

The Buffalo Sabres (34-31-6, 74 points) snapped a four-game skid on Friday night with a 5-4 victory over the New Jersey Devils (45-19-8, 98 points) at KeyBank Center.

Buffalo jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first seven minutes and never looked back despite New Jersey making a late push in the third period.

Alex Tuch scored his 31st and 32nd goals of the season and collected an assist. Tage Thompson netted his 44th, while Dylan Cozens (28) and Jack Quinn (14) also found the back of the net. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned aside 27-of-31 shots.

The Sabres will be right back at it on Saturday when they head to Long Island to take on the Islanders at 5 p.m.
