Jeff DiVeronica and Steve Bradley interviewed NYSPHSAA Class AA Champions Victor boys basketball head coach Tyler Roberts, junior center Nick Leonard and sophomore Owen Dake. They recap the Blue Devils’ successful weekend at the NYS Final Four in Glens Falls.
The first question posed to Coach Roberts was what it took for his players to pull off two convincing wins in Glens Falls. He replied, “I think it took an elite level of focus from them this weekend. Our guys were incredibly locked in like I’ve never seen them before.”
With two double-digit wins on the weekend in the largest classification (AA) in New York State to claim the school’s first state title in basketball, it’s hard to argue with that statement.
