State police have arrested a Wayne County snow removal contractor on several felony charges after an investigation.
Chad Brockman, 39, of Ontario has been charged with several counts of first- and second-degree scheme to defraud, and petit larceny. There were a total of 17 felony charges, as well as another 23 misdemeanors.
It is alleged that Brockman contracted with various area residents to complete snow plowing services for the winter season, and took payments for these services upfront, but failed to do any work.
Troopers reported receiving approximately twenty complaints of this nature with the total financial loss amounting to several thousand dollars.
Brockman was processed and will answer the charges at a later date.
