Police arrested a 43-year-old Canandaigua man following an investigation in the city.
According to a news release, Christopher McHugh, 43, was arrested for second-degree criminal contempt following the violation of a court order.
It was determined that McHugh was sending text messages to a person protected by a stay away order.
Less than two weeks later, McHugh was arrested again in a separate incident, along with 25-year-old Brandon Durgin, another Canandaigua resident.
The two were charged with petit larceny after an investigation on March 8th where they attempted to leave a local business without paying for merchandise.
All of the charges will be answered at a later date.
