Deputies report the arrest of a Lyons man following an investigation into a domestic incident.
According to deputies, William Turner, 26, of Lyons is accused of strangling, assaulting, and holding a woman against her will at a residence in Wayne County for days.
Turner was arrested for two counts of strangulation, one count of criminal contempt, another count of aggravated family offense, assault, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal mischief.
Several of the charges are felonies. The incident took place between March 12 and March 15, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Turner will answer the charges at a later date in local court.
