A man from Dansville has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a minor in the Town of Livonia. According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the Livingston County Child Protective Services (CPS) received a report of a possible sexual offense against a child in February 2023.
Following an investigation, it was discovered that John Litolff, a 37-year-old resident of Dansville, sexually abused a child less than 11 years old in February 2018.
Litolff was arrested on Wednesday and charged with predatory sexual assault against a child and first-degree rape. He was taken to the Livingston County Jail and is currently being held without bail. The deputies also revealed that Litolff has two prior convictions and was a parolee at the time of the arrest.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office urged anyone with any information about the case to come forward and contact the authorities.
